You think it's just about your eyes getting heavy when you go to pray?

Once again today God showed me why prayer is the #1 thing the enemy tries to stop. Hearts are changed in prayer..yours and mines. We're not just praying for ourselves, but for others, for families, for nations, for cityblocks, for countries, for schools, for the world..for God's will to be manifested in the earth as it is in the Kingdom of Heaven. Are you kidding?! the enemy doesn't want any of that!!!
In prayer we also begin to see ourselves through our Heavenly Father's eyes. Through the Holy Spirit we're drawn in deeper to Christ Jesus and to God's agape love. We're actually transformed. We can love ourselves..we can feel clean. Then we can begin to love our neighbor and even our enemies. That natural heart that is "desperately wicked and beyond cure" is now under the power and life-changing anointing of the Spirit of the living God and as we submit, we're healed, delivered and made whole...devil don't want none of that!!!
Strongholds are being broken through prayer, as well as praise, worship, thankgiving and fasting. Once shackled minds are being freed and purified and set right before a Holy God to serve and go forth in spiritual battle led by the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
Spiritually endued and empowered with a compassion for the lost, we pray for the salvation of souls. We come to know, believe and live like we're "accepted in the beloved". We come to accept our God-given queendom and kingdom..no longer subject to wallow around in the slop and sludge of our former "old man" existence. No longer walking around like the dead that we were. No longer believing we're unlovable. No longer living in the lies and the deceit of the evil one. No longer a slave to fear, dread, worry, discouragement. HALLELUJAH!!!

On our knees is HOW WE WIN!!!!!!!!!!!

In our prayer closets is where we-empowered by the Holy Spirit do battle for the lives of our loved ones and folks we don't even know who are walking around in darkness and a breath away from hell!

Prayer removed from schools, from the home, from some churches...man's wretched soul dries up and exists off of his own sinful and lustful appetites and inhumanity becomes the NORM! we see, hear and live this everyday!

In prayer we come to know our Saviour. The One who loves us so passionately and desires a personal relationship. Today I felt just a sliver of God's radical love for His children and it shook me w/power, passion and beauty to my core.

Understand why you're being fought so hard in prayer and fasting. Sure, it's not and never will be what the "natural man" will want to do. But there is an enemy working behind the scenes and his greatest "accomplishment" is slithering about..undetected. So we think it's just us. But praise the Lord, God's Spirit deposited in us, when we accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour, helps us to want to pray. Shows us how to pray and changes it from duty to desire.

Trust and believe I forget at times that I have an enemy. That's why God so graciously reminded me today that I have an enemy who's gonna do everything and anything to stop my prayer life. I said you have a lion ROARING AND SEEKING TO DESTROY YOU!!! WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO ABOUT IT?!

and if you fall asleep, thank God for the rest, wake up and send your prayers up again!!

Father God, help us. Help your people to want to pray. Birth a new passion, and overwhelming desire in us to pray and fast, in the name of Jesus. I thank You for waking me up to the truth and for the spirit of groanings and intercession, through the Holy Spirit...for the world...for us. Only You God can open up our blind eyes and deliver us from our slumber.

Let prayer course through our veins

We're already going into the 2nd week of a brand new year. As time stretches and reaches and excels and propels...God I thank you that I'm still here. I wave goodbye to the moon and salute a brand new day.

Yesterday was Borders and FYE and time spent well, relishing and nurturing a great friendship and sisterhood. Yesteryear was fire and purging and cleansing and molding and strengthening by the Almighty power and love of my Lord Jesus Christ. This year is promised to no one....So I take it one day at a time...as the Lord sees fit to give me.
